If you are coming to London for Wimbledon tennis, The Cottage Guest House is near Heathrow.  We have a car park and are AA 4 star.  Alternately if you are just working in London and looking for somewhere decent to stay, we are in Cranford which is suitable for Hayes, Southall, Uxbridge and also Stockley Park is near.  Sometimes discounts are available depending on availability, just give us a call.  We are 2 minutes drive from M4 junction 3.

The cottage guest house is near to Heathrow , if you would like a short break in London we are suitable specially if you are driving, or you have an early flight leaving from the airport.  Yesterday there was a snow shower but today looks bright and sunny.  We still have availability for valentines day, with secure parking and a cooked breakfast included, we can try to help you have a good day.

If you are travelling to Heathrow this week, Please enquire over the phone for your discount.  The cottage is situated near toTerminal 4 or you can get the bus number 105 or 111 to cranford high street.  We are next to Cranfield community College, also David LLoyd gymn is just down the road.  To get to us just walk down the side road next to the Jolly Gardeners pub, as we are not on the High Street as such.  You can better info by visiting the pages on the right hand menu.

There is still a lot of snow and ice about on the roads surrounding Heathrow, but it looks like things are more or less back to normal. Most of the people that stayed here on Monday night, because of Heathrow delays and cancellations got off yesterday. Just a couple of rooms that stayed because of weather were back again last night. It looks like snow again tomorrow or Friday. If you are coming down to Twickenham rugby stadium, for the 6 nations you had better keep plenty of warm clothes with you.

Heathrow delays are not so prevelant today with BA and other airlines clearing backlog.  At present temperature is -3, so it is icy on the small roads.  If driving to Heathrow, take care as there is a lot of ice about.  The snow settled on the ground seems to be freezing, but it does not seem that cold.  Inside the Cottage Guest House I think we are a bit too hot even.  I still would not like to spend all day outside.

As of now, noon 2nd february, still heavy snow at Heathrow airport.  We are only a few miles away and flight delays are going to continue for some time to come.  If you are stuck and near somewhere near Heathrow airport, give us a ring.  You might even get a discount.  we can also give you the phone number of the cab company that we use, they are quite reasonable.

Today there are a lot of Heathrow delays because of the snow.  Both runways are closed but I don’t know for how long.  A plane slipped off the taxiway, all passengers unharmed.  The front wheel landed in a grassy area.  This was the last flight to land before the decision to shut down both runways.  All BA flights cancelled until at least 5P.M. today.
